Poorness vs. Richness

In the beginning of last semester; some of my friends was trying to get scholarship from some associations who had funds for poor students. When my not-so-poor-friends needed to go interviews to be able to get scholarship; they were trying to look poor by wearing old clothes and torn shoes. It was funny though.

You know we must get visa to be able to go abroad. I have 'special passport' cos of my mum; so i don't need to get visa for most of the countries. [Normal-passport holders must get visa for even African countries]. But for some countries; we need visa too.
When getting visa to visit a country; you should 'proove' you are so rich that you won't immigrate there. So; you need to show your family's 'wealth' to visa officer by deeds or your parents' salary payrolls.

USSRVISION ASS CONTEST!

Last night, we watched the worst ESC- that kinda night would end up with the worst winner; though it did. Eurovision is now ex-Sovietvision. Here are the secret formula to win:
- Split your country into pieces (like USSR, Yugoslavia and Serbia did)
- Send naked singers- preferably chicks with long legs and muscular back dancers
THAT'S ALL!!!
I voted for: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Iceland, Israel (wish i didn't), Finland (x2) and Spain (x3).
Here comes some details & thoughts from me:
- Did you notice Ukraine's back singer? She DID sang all the song; but they put her on the edge of the stage not to be seen! Sorry the pic is not quality enough; but it's a snapshot.

- Again, this year, at final, we gave 7 to Greece and 10 to Armenia- and they gave us 0! What a surprise!!!
- 2 of the 4 founder countries, Spain and France had really good songs. I especially loved Spain's! But , no wonder why, they failed.
- Russia- had the worst song of the night with an irrelevant stage show and a not-able-to-sing singer! I am sure most of the voters of Dima Bilan- except of ex-USSR, are horny girls who voted just because he showed his brest! Haha! You know, MOST of the Ukraine's votes come from HORNY guys, so this is the same!!
- Some of the singers were imitating someone!! Here my analysis comes:
Greece- Britney Spears + Beyoncé
Germany - Spice Girls
Ukrainian slut - any bitch on the highway
Israel- Gospel Choirs
Bosnian Girl - Madonna on Virgin Tour
- Did you notice sth.? Ukrainian, Armenian, Greek and Swedish songs & performances were actually SAME! Even with the dresses!

Shittiest Eurovision ever, is gone. My interest was reducing last year; now it is really really less. I even donnow i will be that excited next years...

Bloggers Meeting in Bursa!

As you(may) know; i've been writing on this blog for 3 years. I thought blogs were not popular in Türkiye; so i started to write in English. Last year, i published a Turkish blog; but cos of "adult language" on it, people who were actually searching for porn sites on google; found my blog! Of course this makes a person down. So i let it destroy itself...
I kept on writing here..
Last semester; i found out that a friend of mine, also publishes a blog. We used to talk about blogs and last week he told me about a blog-writers meeting in Bursa. Today; i attended this meeting and met really nice people! Honestly; i wasn't expecting that much a crowd- we were about 20 people! I was surprised to see how people take blogging seriously and how they care.. Some even earn money on blogs. Noticing this and understanding that i was not alone with blogging in Bursa made me feel hopeful ;)

Throwing My "Merciful Hates" Up!

It's 4:30 a.m. , i am sleepy, i have things to do tomorrow (actually today), i got nothing to write about in my mind- but i wanna scratch sth.!
I have a shitty mood- it changes almost every minute! I get happy by small things[even with a look!] - get upset by small things[even with a word!]. I was pretty ok a few mins. ago; but now i feel like i'm drowning in a pool or someone's choking me!
So, i decided to make a list of "Ten Things To Feel Bad" nowadays- which is up to my feelings.
10- My internet connection is so shitty that i can't download a thing.
9- Even if the year is over; i still didn't get a 'very close friend' here.
8- One of my friends' broke up with her bf and treats us bad cos of that.
7- I have so many things to do for summer; but i gotta attend summer-school! [I failed from 3 lessons just in 1st semester; i think at least 2 for this semester too]
6- I wanna travel like crazy; but i don't have many traveler friends. The ones i have are so poor that can't even visit my city here!
5- I am expecting a lot of postcards from postcrossing and a lot of letters from friends; but postoffice suuuuucks!!!!!
4- I colored my hair into blue today(it was red for about 2 and a half weeks) and my hair looks like a "made in china" rainbow!
3- The people who are close to me talks behind me and when i find it out; they try to cover their shames with lies!
2- People here are mostly ignorant and superficial.
1- I try my best to do things. When i do sth., people don't understand what it's for! Think about it: for example, you wrote an article -in depth thoughts, you really tried diligently for it. It took months to write it. And then you published it. Someone says: "I don't get why you wrote it!". Wouldn't it ruin you?
I hate:

• Ignorant people
• Ordinary people
• Hypocrite people
• Superficial people

I guess i threw my hate out.. Now i can sleep in peace. Thanks blogpsot!

I Wanna Be Somebody

Yesterday, Tad send me a really hilarious pic. At least, it is hilarious to me. Maybe Germans or Austrians don't enjoy it; but i do; so i put it to my facebook as avatar.

I have a friend in our dorm. He is really social, cool, VERY handsome, experienced in life issues, comes from İstanbul (that's a wannabe for country people), has a very good taste of music, wise etc... And he is TURKISH; but he defends Hitler and fascism! He is not really "deeply read" about it; but he can defend it somehow.
He has a friend, he is also my friend. He comes from a small city, really ignorant and took himself this Hitler-lover friend as idol. He does whatever he wants, goes wherever he goes, simply, follows him. He reads same books as him, surfs on same sites as him, listens to same music as him, smokes same way as him, trying to have same life-opinions as him etc.. I am sure you understood a lot about him.

Today when i was surfing on facebook; i received a message from him- the ignorant one. He said "I didn't like your avatar, you think putting it here makes you cool, ha???"
And i said:
"If you have your own ideas, let's discuss, don't try to be like somebody else!!"
Of course he didn't understand what i meant; or pretended so. He said:
"I don't discuss with anybody. I don't care how people think. Yes i know i am narrow-minded"
I said:
"I just laugh at you" and he answered:
"I don't laugh at you; i just feel sorry for you!!"

You see what kinda idiots i have to deal with??? Oh, he feels sorry for me, i am gonna cryyyyyy!!!
He should feel sorry for himself!!!!! He first says he doesn't care how people think and then he says he is narrow-minded. I am really sick of self-contrast, ignorant people.
Defending an idea just to be cool or just to make a friend pleasant IS shitty!
Like a very famous Turkish journalist (Uğur Mumcu) said once;
"Don't have ideas without having knowladge"..

Good afternoon Europe!
Right now i'm watching 1st semi-final of ESC '08. I could watch after 14th song; cos i thought my tv doesn't show that channel.. So i kept surfing on the net for 1 loong hour!! After that; i thought maybe i could watch it on a German or French channel. So i searched via channels and ta ta ta tam! I found our channel that shows it!!!! So, i wasted my 1 hour for nothing!!!!!
Anyways,, when i opened it, Armenia's song was just starting. [it is one of the shittiest songs i ever heard btw]
Last years, for example in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and EVEN 2007; almost ALL the songs were GOOD! At least- "listenable". But as far as i watched, this year almost ALL of the songs are BAD!! I couldn't resist to listen twice most of them!! I think -i hope-, that is because countries are protesting this "musical degradation" by sending bad songs. I don't mean Ireland or Spain with "bad" songs- cos it's obvious they did it for fun.
I only liked Finland tonight, nice song, great choice of song genre...

I am so surprised that Ireland with "Dustin The Turkey" couldn't pass! It's video was the most watched ESC '08 video on youtube!

This Lady = Madonna ?

Hey all again!!!
I know i neglected my blog for weeks; but i was really busy. Not with lessons; but with travelling.. I have been travelling all around Bursa...
In this blog; i wanna tell sth. that one of my friend's had..
He is a huge Madonna fan. A few days ago, he went to a photographer to publish Madonna's photos from digital camera to paper. The photographer asked him:
- Who is this???

When i first heard that,, i was so surprised that there are people who donnow Madonna!!! But what happened yesterday, has changed my mind.
Yesterday was my Madonna fan friend's birthday. He wanted to get prepared a special birthday-cake; so he had put Madonna photo on the cake.. I donnow how they do it; but it would be amazing to eat it..
When he was paying for cake to the cashier; she looked at the cake and asked:
- Today is this lady's birthday???
My friend answered, after a few shock seconds,
- Yes, and she is my mother!!!

Can you believe how ignorant are people?? I can understand if this would happen in a village or in a small town; but it happened in city center!!!
Ignorant people are anywhere....
