Eurovision excitement starts....

As you may know, i am an Eurovision Song Contest fanatic. Cos of this, my favourite and most excited month is may. This year, ESC (Eurovision Song Contest) will be executed in 18 and 20 May. In 18 May, there will be semi-final. In semi final, 23 countries will compete to raise the final. Let me tell my opinions about some songs:
ARMENIA:
2006 is the first year of Armenia in ESC. Their song- "Without your love" performs by Andre, includes traditional melodies which sounds us familiar. Cos Armenians and Turks have been together for many ages and our cultures have partly similar things. Andre's English pronounciation should be better.
I donnow if we Turks give them any point in contest cos of some "fights" we did before(we still have). But some Armenians who live in Türkiye may vote for them. So we'd be supposed to give them some points-who knows? ;)
BELGIUM:
Their song is Je t'adore sang by Kate Ryan. Well, honestly, it's just another usual Eurosong. But it is in top 5 on Eurovision polls. It is not that bad- but it does not deserve to ve in top 5 either. Though, polls are sometimes deceptive. I believe that this song is overrated. We'll see this at 18 May;)
BOSNIA&HERZEGOVINA:

Hari Mata Hari performs a wonderful song named- Lejla. It's a great song!! Even we can't understand the lyrics, there is something evil in this song. It makes you think about your ex-loves or crushs. Well, it was like that for me at least :) When the singers says "Golube, moj golube" in the song, i feel like i loose my mind:) It sounds so romantic.
I am sure that this year Türkiye will give 10 or 12 points to our siblings-Bosnians. Cos we Turks love Bosnians so much and the song is just great!!! I am a big Bosnia fan also and i'll vote for them many times;)
CROATIA:
Moja Štikla by Severina. I can say that this song sucks. Severina became very popular cos of her stolen sex video. [Btw, thanx to Tadej for telling me this video's existance:) ] In this song, there are traditional melodies also. In somewhere of this song, Severina says "Haydi, haydi!" We use "Haydi" in Turkish too, for telling sth. like "Let's". And also, there is a musical insturment named-Kemençe in this song. Kemençe is orginally our instrument from north of Türkiye. So, Severina's song is more Turkish than our Sibel's song, i think :))
We may give Croatia a few points cos of familiar tunes, i guess.
"SOUTHERN" CYPRUS:
Southern Cyprus' song is named - Why angels cry and performed by Annette Artani. This song is a classical balad. A few days ago, there were some quarrels about Annette's Türkiye promotion tour. As you know, Türkiye doesn't identify "Cyprus" for whole. We just identify them as "Southern Cyprus". Sibel visited Southern Cyprus and she performed her song at national TV channel of this country. Then Annette wanted to visit Türkiye's national TV channel to represent her song, but our national TV channel-named TRT didn't let it. Cos we don't identify "Cyprus" and TRT is our national channel. But we let them to represent theirselves on private channels. Then they complained about us to ESC executives, i guess. Which is so childish and envy!
I am sure we won't give them points more than 3 ;)
FINLAND:

Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordi. Quite strong song. But it seperated Finns. Some says it should represent Finland in ESC, some says not. They are hesitating, i guess.
It's a very good song with a very good video which was inspired from Stephen King novels -in my opinion. I am expecting a great and HardRocky stage performance from them! Go Finland! Rock the ESC stage!!!
I don't think we will give them much points. But if our teens will watch this contest mostly, we'll give more points;)
GERMANY:
Their song is No, no, never- performs by Texas Lightning. Germany, what the hell are you doing???? This song is country music and it simply sucks! The only good song i remember from Germany was Stefan Raab & Max in İstanbul 2004. Last year they became the last. But they always compete in final; cos they are one of the 4 constituents of ESC. Also France, Spain and UK never joins semi finals, cos they are constituents!!! Last year, in Kiev 2005, the last orders was that in finals:
21- Spain (8 points)
22- UK (18 points)
23- France (11 points)
24- Germany (4 points)
You see, there are an important injustice there. They became the lasts and they don't join Semi finals!!! :@
This year, i don't think Germany will get a good point, but they are calm, cos they join finals anyway!!!
GREECE:
After last years victory song [whose melodies was stolen from Turkish melodies and also a song named "Avaramus"], this year another bitch will compete for greece. Her name is Anna Vissi and the song is "Everything". The song is just an another stupid ballad-performed by make-up beauty Anna Vissi. Maybe i shouldn't mix politics into ESC, but there are some reasons for me to do it. This bitch Anna will visit every country to promote her song before ESC- except Türkiye!!! She is so fucking idiot and imitates Madonna.
I am sure some stupid "peace pigeons" will vote for her in Türkiye, but don't forget, last year we gave them 12 points and they gave us 0 !!!! ZERO!!!! Let's get our revenge back!
ICELAND:
Congratulations by Silvía Night. It's a very funny song, also Silvia is a very joyful woman. I am sure it'll be in top 5. You should also listen carefully her song's lyrics- which are very funny. But these may annoy other competitors. Some of the lyrics are like that:
..I'm born in Reykjavik, talented, no village freak.
I know I'm gonna win the f***ing final.
All the other songs have lost...
...The other bitches have spots, but I'm a virgin...
...(phone - conversation)
Hello is it god?
What’s up dog?
It’s your favourite person in the world Silvia Night
I’m saving the world
See you...bye...

She has a very sweet voice. I am sure she'll get some points from us. BTW , now i'm listening ESC Radio and Silvia's song is playing!!!!!!!! What a coincidence!! :)
Congrats Silvia- a great song!!!
PS: Hilmar, i think she'll shock Europe:)
NORWAY:
Norway usually have good songs, but lack of luck, they got bad points in the past. For example at 2004 Knut Anders Sørum's High was the last with 3 points. And this 3 points only came from Sweden. But i liked this song- at least better that some songs..:S
In 2005, Norway partipicated with one of the best songs in ESC history. Wig Wam- In my dreams. It was definitely the best song in the contest, but it became the 9th! Even Switzerland's stupid song was 8th!!! I was so sad cos of this. Now Wig Wam is one of my favourite bands, i don't miss anything about them. It is ironic that, Wig Wam joined national selections in 2004 for ESC, but they couldn't pass it, Knut passed it and he became the last!!!
Anyway, Norway's this year's song, Alvedansen by Christine Guldbrandsen will sang in Norweigan langauge. Even we can't understand it, it takes us inside. Like ESC 1995's winner song Nocturne - Secret Garden.
I guess this is the Norway formula- if the song is in your national langauge, make the melody strong and clear ;)
Very good song- in top 10!
POLAND:

Ich Troje- Follow my heart. It's a great song, great melody, great lyrics, great singers!!!!!!!!!!! Ich Troje joined ESC in 2003 too-with "Keine Grenzen". They were 7th. This year, they have a better song.
I love the red haired man- named Michał Wiśniewski. It is very hard to pronounce his name. I recently heard that he colored his hair into green:( But he is still so hot :)

I heard that [from Megan:p], in big cities, people have bad ideas about them(donnow what ideas). Megan also says that she is so bored of them and they took chance from good singers. But i am happy that they joined this song again- with this way, we all learned a great song- Follow my heart ;)
I will vote for Poland- i wanna see them in top 10!!!! Ich Trojeeeee!!!! :)
ROMANIA:
Tornero by Mihai Trăistariu. It says in ESC official web-site that, "His voice can reach five octaves and one third, which is rare for a male voice." He really has a good voice and favourite of this year so far. I'll be very happy to see them as winner, cos Romania is our friend-country ;)
We definitely give more than 9 points to them. I also may vote for Romania. Bucharest 2007- sounds nice, ha? ;)
SLOVENIA:
Anžej Dežan performs Mr.Nobody (Plan B). Plan B was in Slovenian, but then they decided to sing in English. I guess they decided that cos of last year's entry in Slovenian langauge- Omer Naber's Stop. If he'd sing it in English, he'd climb up the finals. Also 2004's Platin-Stay Forever song was at the last places-unfortunately. Slovenija always had lack of luck in ESC, cos of EMA workers, i think. The best degree of them is 7th in 2001 by Nuša Derenda-Energy and in 1995 by Darja Švajger- Prisluhni mi.
I'd wish that Slovenija break their bad luck in ESC, but appearantly this won't be in 2006. I still believe that Saša with "Mandoline" would get higher points ;) Though, Anžej is a big ESC fan, we also know that his stage performances are impressive; so we expect him to reflect his energy to ESC stage ;)
I can't understand image-makers. If you watch Anžej's video, you'll see what i mean. He looks terrible on there!!! With colored blonde hair and black beird. Just terrible! I hope he'll change his appearance soon.

I'll vote for Slovenia anyway, i hope my vote will change the balance ;)
SPAIN:
Un Blodymary by Las Ketchup. Actually i can't understand ESC workers. I heard that it is not allowed for internationally famous singers to join this contest. Las Ketchup is famous all over the world also t.A.T.u joined Riga 2003 , who is internationally famous too!
Las Ketchup's song is pretty childish. But it's video is so interesting and interactive. When i first listened this song, i didn't like much, after listening it for many times, i liked it. Maybe i'll vote for them if i like their stage performance.
I don't understand why Spanishs represent so bad songs in ESC. Though i donnow any good Spanish ESC songs so far... Do you? ;)
SWIZERLAND:
They became the last in İstanbul 2004 with Piero-Celebrate - which was an awful song, most says. Last year, with the help of singer's charmes, they became 8th. The song Cool Vibes by Vanilla Ninjas wasn't better than Piero's song. But ESC is becoming a beauty contest day by day. Anyway, this year's entry is Six4one-if we all give a little is another awful Swiss song. So boring. And i can't understand one thing. Their only victory is 1988 Céline Dion-Ne partez pas sans moi. As you know, Céline is Canadian. Last year's entry-Cool Vibes was Estonian. This year's entry is multi-cultural. One is Swedish, one is Bosnian, one is Portugese, one is Maltese, one is Israelian and be calm, one is SWISS!!! Are you surprised? I am sure you are! There is one swiss im ESC Switzerland's entry! wooww!! i am shocked! I always wondered, doesn't Switzerland have its own good singers? They always rent anothers nation's singers to join for them. I also wonder that, doesn't these singers have pride? Why do they compete for another country for money??? Even if they'd give me all he world, i would't do that!!
I think this song won't go through final!!!
TÜRKİYE:
Sibel Tüzün-Süper Star. For my opinion, she should sing it in English to get better points. This song also has 2 other versions. One is English, another is Greek!!!!!!!!! I hated Sibel for this. Why she also sang in Greek??? Any of Greek singers sang in Turkish? NO! Why we sing in their langugage then?? Ha? I am glad that in contest, we'll only sing in Turkish.
Well, this song is not my favourite. Not that good song. But it surprisingly one of the favourites. It's in top 5 in polls. It has some orientalic rhythms, also some hip-hop part, also pop part. It'll definitely pass the semi; but i am not sure of top 5.

After last year's failure (13th place in finals), we Turks expected a better job from TRT. They choose Sibel for it. Honestly i didn't understand reason of this selection. Sibel is not that successful singer. But Sertab Erener was the best voice in Türkiye, at the same way, Athena was adored by teens. We won with Sertab and became 4th with Athena. But i am desperate about Sibel.. Anyway, i am expecting an amazing stage performance from her. This will rescue us!
The countries I'll vote for:
-Bosnia
-Finland
-Macedonia
-Iceland
-Norway
-Poland
-Romania
-Slovenia
-Spain (maybe)
Here are my opinions about this year's ESC, have your say...;)
